the other night i made nigella's instant chocolate mousee it was all things good smooth chocaltey and sweet

3 cups mini marshmallows
1/2 stick unsalted butter, softened
9 ounces best quality semisweet chocolate, chopped into small pieces
1/4 cup hot water from a recently boiled kettle
1 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
Put the marshmallows, butter, chocolate and water in a heavy-based saucepan.

Put the saucepan on the stove, over heat, though keep it fairly gentle, to melt, stirring every now and again. Remove from the heat.

Meanwhile whip the cream with the vanilla until thick and then fold into the cooling chocolate mixture until you have a smooth, cohesive mixture.

Pour or scrape into 4 or 6 glasses or small dishes and chill until you want to eat. The sooner the better!

Arabella made her First Holy Communion on Sunday afterwards we went to the Novotel Brighten le sands for lunch the kids loved the soft drinks which they never have and the buffet :)

Reilly turned seven yesterday... it was another hot day but he was so excited to go to school and share the Donuts we had ordered... so armed with 24 iced donuts off we trapsed to school...

the big difference I noticed this year is that Reilly actually read his cards to me I was very proud of how far he has come since last year when he wouldnt even try to read and it was all too hard !

After school we came home to more presents... lego was the main gifts and then we had pizza for dinner ... pepparoni of course for reilly followed by his favourite cake... chocolate...

today we are off to the aquarium for a special afternoon !

a first week back at a new school this is a pic when we picked them up that afternoon of their first day it was so very hot and they had no power for most of the day we went straight to Mcdonalds for a frozen coke for bell and a frozen raspberry fanta for reilly

Arabella always like a prop and she is holding a worse for wear candy cane a girl she met last year at transition brought in a christmas card and candy cane and they kept for bell until this year... sweet !

Reilly is such a sensitive sweet child... laughing one minute then devestated the next when things don't go his way or he gets in trouble today at the park he was a bit rough with bella and he got in trouble... his biggest line he says all the time.... "this is the worst day ever !"

I have to stop myself laughing every time he says that because I know he will be laughing again within minutes....

One of my favourite things to do at Christmas is the Christmas lights as a last day of school treat we went to our favourite st in Ashbury for a look... Arabella was most upset it wasn't dark but it was still fun we will proabley go back Saturday night as Santa will be there apparently !

Arabella and Darren went to her girl guide xmas party so Reilly and I had KFC his choice for dinner, we had a tea party outside and the we watched Elf as our together movie

I love his sweet expression.. he is such a pure sweet sensitive soul..... he has had a tough time adjusting to the new school I worry too much whether it is the right choice for him... but he told me tonight he hada tousnd butterflies we he went to school but now he just has 2 ! so I think he will be okay.....

Each tuesday we have family dinner night..... so we set the table... Arabella adds her creative touches to the table.... there is always candles and thank goodness for daylight savings as normally we have to eat in near darkness !!

Last thursday our gorgeous boy turned 6 ! he has grown up so much..... he got an ant farm, transformers action figures and a PS3 , Arabella bought him a going away robot bag and a game for his PS3 :)

He had a good day at school and I made 30 chocolate cupcakes for him and his class... the box came home empty so they must have been okay

Nanny from Tassie came up and he was spolit :) and Michelle fairy godmother from Newcastle :)

on the weekend he went for a sleepover with Sebastion and sunday we went to Bondi Junction westfield to Max Brenners for chocolate dipped strawberries and hot chocolate Yummy :)

Every january I have great intentions of doing a photo a day... so this year I thought would try and do same in december and maybe do a christmas album

the last few days with Reilly have been a struggle to say the least.. after again not listening all afternoon i lost it and yelled at Reilly I had it... after much silence and sulking he sat down and asked for paper and pencils and drew this picture unprompted... people who Reilly know that he is not a child who really likes to draw... games , trucks snails/lizards and annoying his sister are his fave things..... so this is special... It's his family :)

my gorgeous girl is nearly seven, dramatic ,affectionate, noisy, beautiful ball of love and energy she is a perfectionist she is bossy she hates being wrong... she feels things deeply and never forgets ... my first born, the girl I made all the mistakes and have grown with.... I cannot believe she is nearly seven.. things have been rough for her the last couple of weeks with Reilly's broken arm she has missed a lot of attention and boy she is so cranky with us....
so I thought we needed a photo shoot and for once she obliged.... here is my 6 year old nearly seven....

Reilly had a fall from his scooter on sunday and has had a sore wrist since, still move his fingers but just sore to touch.... Reilly had sport at school and went to the office and his arm is very swollen and sore... off to pick him up and off to Canterbury Hospital, everyone inclding the doctors thought nup it's not broken... few xrays later,, greenstick fracture distal end of his radius... cast applied for next 5 weeks and one unhappy boy....

We drove up to see Tonina, Katy and Dusty the dog on sunday.... it was a beautiful sunny day and lots of beautiful autumn colours....

kids had a great time looking for fairies and I never said they dont exist Tonina !!!! lol

On the Entertainment side of things yesterday we did some shopping Arabella was desperate for new shoes and Target was having a sale so off we went ... she got 2 pairs one I like one she loves... the first pair are some interesting black knee high Barbie boots with rhinestones ... her choice .... NOICE Not and the other my choice some white/pink runners, Reilly got a pair of bright green frog gumboots and put them on and would not try on anything else....

we then went off and saw race to witch mountain the kids really enjoyed it especially reilly, Arabella got a bit scared with some of the explosions and stuff

Then we raced off to north Sydney to pick up Darren from work, then down the hill with pizza to Blue's point to watch the sun set and have an impromtu picnic..... I love this spot, I wish I had my tripod oh well next time....

The kids love the any type of water and promptly got saturated even though it was freezing Reilly took all his clothes off and was naked much to the suprise of a couple of brides who were getting there photos done beside the waters edge......
